France Trip 2019

On the 5th September a vanguard of two SERC members will leave Ireland on a road trip to Bourg-d’Oisans, a small French town located in the south East of France.  The purpose of their trip is to carry equipment, bikes etc and to set up camp.  The remaining group of ten including four alp virgins will fly out from Dublin the following Saturday to rendezvous at a camp site at the base of the iconic Alpe d’Huez in the heart of the French Alps. Weekend Race Results

Big racing news over the weekend. Connor was second in the youth Leinster championships, he was just half a bike “short” of 1st place. Nevertheless a great podium finish. His role model Ronan was 2nd A2 in kilmessan in the A1/2/3 mixed raced on a super fast circuit.. Tony and Luke finished safely in the bunch after Luke was in the break until the last lap when there was numerous attacks.Jay went up north to the John beggs on Saturday where it rained all day on a tough circuit. MTB Endurance Race

A little piece from club member Ian on a recent MTB endurance race. Long range weather forecast was mixed – but it ended up being beach weather all weekend, including 33C on the drive from the ferry to Plymouth.
