Hi all We hope that ye are all keeping well. The South-East Road Club committee have decided to commence the weekly club spins on Sunday July 5th. We are allowed to cycle in a group of up to 15 while adhering to government social distancing rules, in the event that more than 15 turn up on the day there will be two groups on the road. Dear cyclist, In light of the uncertainty in relation to Covid-19, the South East Road Club Committee have made the difficult decision to cancel the 3 Peaks challenge for 2020. You do not have to do anything, all the current registrations will remain valid for next years event, penciled in for Sunday April 4th 2021. Important 3 Peaks Announcement

In light of recent developements in relation to Covid19 and this mornings government announcement, South East Road Club have made the decision to postpone the 3 peaks challenge due to take place on Sunday 5th April. A new date will be announced over the coming weeks. Once the revised date is confirmed, we will notify you all and will permit refunds for a limited time should the new date not suit. MTB Endurance Race

A little piece from club member Ian on a recent MTB endurance race. Long range weather forecast was mixed – but it ended up being beach weather all weekend, including 33C on the drive from the ferry to Plymouth. SERC Youth One Day

Getting close to the SERC one day.A tough course that has been already tested by some of the country’s top A1s this year. The U12,U14 and U16 are the future of Irish cycling. With some top names coming through the youth setup. The TT in the morning is a nice test for all riders there is no where to hide and a pure test of speed, power and mental resilience. SERC Grass Track Cycling

A little snippet of our talented riders doing mostly skills tonight and a bit of racing.Skills are essential for racing and these kids have them in abundance.Chapeau!🏅🏅 It’s also great too see our members help out and especially young Connor Short our only youth, mentoring the kids. Remember, same time and place next week. Spread the word to friends who might be interested in learning or improving their bike handling skills in a safe, fun and friendly environment.

SERC Classic Sportive

Wednesday 10th July @ 7pm Bike racing is often thought best left to the young — with physical conditioning, race-craft, stamina and the ability to recover fast all peaking between the ages of 25 and 35. However….This Wednesday 10th July we are giving the young lads and lassies a rest and will be hosting an over 50, 60, and 70’s classic sportive. All are welcome to join us, ladies and gents. Sign on at Hayes transport from 6:15pm Race Start at 7:00pm
